Locate Model ID Tag/Plate
Read your owner's manual to find model number, if possible. Locate a small tag or plate on your Snapper mower that lists a specific model and serial number, alternately. Look for a small tag or plate on the frame (about 2-by-3 inches in size). Check under the seat of a riding lawn mower, or on the mowing deck of a push lawn mower--possibly even on the rear door of the lawn mower's rear discharge unit. Disregard any sticker with a single number on the side of the motor, such as "SR1433" you will need to look for the model ID tag/plate." The correct plate or tag will list both model and serial number.
Read Model Numbers
Read the numbers on the located model ID tag or plate. For instance, the model listed may be GT500, and the serial number below may be 1781634962. Snapper lawn mower models begin with letters, specifying a series (such as GT for garden tractor and LT for lawn tractor) followed by three or four numbers, which indicate features of the mower. Enter model number located into Snapper's operator's manual search on website to verify model number.
